Placeholder Farm
Gloucestershire, UK
Project Overview
A complete rooftop installation across two high-span agricultural barns on an active arable farm in Gloucestershire. The client wanted to utilize their vast, unshaded south-facing roofs to cover their high seasonal daytime energy demand, particularly from grain drying and machinery operations.
The system was custom designed around the farm's existing three-phase electrical supply and consumption profile. We installed 218 tier-one solar panels and paired them with a high-efficiency commercial inverter to maximize conversion rates and return on investment.
By generating their own power on-site, the farm has significantly insulated itself against rising commercial electricity tariffs while reducing its carbon footprint by an estimated 16 tonnes of CO2 annually.
